What do you get UCAS points for when you apply for a uni?
I know, I'm only 13 but I recently quit piano lessons and I'm doing horseriding and RoyalYachtingAccosiation Stage3 sailing and stuff. Will this get me any points? If not what does?
It depends if the out of school activitiess your doing are connecteds to the ucas system. I know for definate that LAMDA exams and the duke of edinburgh make up a small amount of ucas points. The best thing would be to ask your instructors
And do well in your exams. lol

The French-built Belem has had a long and chequered career, including a stint as a luxury yacht for an English duke. Now restored with French government help, it has found a new lease of life as a sailing school. An AFPTV report.

Has anyone ever said something to you that totally crushed you?
You know, just completely took the wind out of your sails? I have had this happen on a few occasions over the years, and even though they were out of order (actually quite evil) I was so shocked I think I just stood there with my bottom lip quivering and walked away.
I think it taught me a lesson too, as I am careful to try not to do the same to others! Why do we sometimes let people treat us so badly?
Yes, many times. This actually happened recently with a sister who I had thought was my friend before she said what she did to me. We were out in service, and it really, just as you phrased it, completely took the wind out of my sails that day.
However, as we are admonished to in the Bible, I tried to simply forgive her in my heart, knowing that we are all imperfect and I've likely done something similar to someone in the past. So I continued talking to her and we ended up getting together for tea and conversation recently. At the end of a very nice conversation, I found a way to mention what I had thought she meant by what she had said (since it was still kind of bothering me on some level), and found out that she didn't mean it the way I had taken it. She felt terrible that I had even thought that, even though I still know there was a sliver of truth to the initial impression I got.
Long story short, we remained friends and I am very grateful for the counsel we are given in the Bible about how to handle disagreements and hurt feelings. Even when someone seems malicious in the moment, it doesn't mean that they will feel the same way an hour later about you. We just have to keep forgiving, and we'll find ourselves forgiven as well, at least by our God Jehovah.
In the short term, it can be very difficult, though. It helps to seek out those who are careful with their words as a rule and who do really care about what others are thinking and feeling.
